Spectrecoin 3.0.10 has been released and is now available on [Github] for download. This release fixes a Tor shutdown issue on Linux and the 'Fake stake block spam attack vector‘ widely known since its publication on Medium. medium.com/@dsl_uiuc/fake-stake-attacks-on-chain-based-proof-of-stake-cryptocurrencies-b8b05723f806 The article presented two vulnerabilities: #1: “I Can’t Believe it’s not Stake” #2: "Spent Stake attack" Spectrecoin was never vulnerable to #1 and #2 has now been fixed as follows: - Upon receiving a block before persisting to disc, it is checked that the UTXO or ATXO staked is not spent in the best chain. - If the block received is part of a fork, all inputs of the forked chain are checked if they spent the staked UTXO or ATXO. github.com/spectrecoin/spectre/releases
We are very excited to announce that the Spectrecoin V3 hard-fork to activate "Proof-of-Anonymous-Stake" (PoAS) or so called 'Stealth Staking' was successful and gone according to plan and block #1168490 was the first fully anonymous staked block on the mainnet created by the new protocol. Have a look at the block explorer: chainz.cryptoid.info/xspec/block.dws?1168490.htm I also remind you all that further changes to block time and rewards were activated at this hard-fork and the rewards for staking SPECTRE using PoAS is 3 SPECTRE and the reward for staking using PoSv3 is 2 XSPEC. Therefore, it makes sense to convert XSPEC to SPECTRE. We currently have about 1.3 mill SPECTRE so we expect more 'standard' XSPEC blocks at least for now. 'Stealth Staking' using ring-signatures is real, it works and Spectrecoin did it first! - respect to our lead developer @Tek who made this happen. Real, Functional Privacy!
There are now 24 hours left until the Spectrecoin v3 hard-fork. You must upgrade your wallet before Friday 17th May 2019 at 2000 hours UTC. If you haven't already upgraded, do not delay, upgrade today so you will be ready for tomorrow. news.spectreproject.io/spectrecoin-v3-x-upgrade-guide/
There are now only 2 days left until the Spectrecoin v3 hard-fork. You must upgrade your wallet before Friday 17th May 2019 at 2000 hours UTC. The hard-fork implements so called 'replay protection' and any transactions made from an old wallet after the hard-fork will result in lost coins. It is vital that you stay up to date and get version 3 ASAP. news.spectreproject.io/spectrecoin-v3-x-upgrade-guide/
There are now 3 days left until the Spectrecoin v3 hard-fork. You must upgrade your wallet before 17th May 2019 at 2000 hours UTC. Once we activate our unique "Stealth Staking" protocol on Friday, Spectrecoin will be the first and only proof-of-stake crypto with a total privacy solution. Please come and join us from Friday for a crypto first and stake anonymously. No more rich lists, no more tracking and tracing staking rewards. news.spectreproject.io/spectrecoin-v3-x-upgrade-guide/
There are now 4 days left until the Spectrecoin v3 hard-fork. You must upgrade your wallet before 17th May 2019 at 2000 hours UTC. "Proof-of-Anonymous-Stake" uses a clever combination of ring-signatures with algorithms for splitting and consolidation of the anonymous transactions outputs. This increases the blockchain entropy so you can keep your money private and earn an interest. news.spectreproject.io/spectrecoin-v3-x-upgrade-guide/
Livecoin has confirmed that they are now running Spectrecoin v3.0.9 and they are ready for the hard-fork on 17th May 2019. They have now opened for deposit / withdrawals again. Happy trading! www.livecoin.net/en/trading/XSPEC_BTC
There are now 5 days left until the Spectrecoin v3 hard-fork. You must upgrade your wallet before 17th May 2019 at 2000 hours UTC. We will activate our own unique totally private staking protocol "Proof-of-Anonymous-Stake". The expression 'Be your own bank' will finally make sense. Spectrecoin is using ring-signatures to protect the privacy of the staking participants on the network. Keep your money private and earn an interest. news.spectreproject.io/spectrecoin-v3-x-upgrade-guide/

I am happy to report that I just got an e-mail from Cryptopia with the following message: "I can assure you that no XSPEC holdings were lost, and that we will be updating our wallet to your latest release from github.com/spectrecoin/spectre and performing appropriate health checks before any blockchain transactions are processed." It's great that no funds were lost and we can now only wait for Cryptopia to open for trade / deposit / withdrawal of funds. I will update you all the moment I hear anything else, although there is no set timeframe, but it will happen soon!
