As the winter holidays go by, we are slowly getting used to the fact it is 2021 now. The second decade of the XXI century has officially started. In the 20th century, we've always looked forward to the 21st one as the ideal future, where everything is connected and integrated, there are no artificial borders and limits remaining, and the whole world is reachable at your arm’s length. But it is 2021 already, and the world is still heavy decoupled. And not just the COVID-19 is to blame, but there are lots of technical limitations on integrating the processes between multiple countries. Even the most promising digitalization and tokenization projects still go as wide as just a country or a nation. The country borders look impenetrable for any digitalization processes. To Universa though, the country borders are the new frontiers. And so now we are proud to announce that we are joining forces with the “IT, Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies Association of BRICS” in creating the “BRICS Digital Settlements Center” task force, with me, Alexander Borodich, the CEO of Universa Blockchain, getting one of the chairman roles in the task force. The strategical aim is to build the digital infrastructure for whole “smart countries”, working at overall BRICS level.
