Today we're launching a new forum for the Sia community: forum.sia.tech/. The forum will serve as a home for long-form discussion of the Sia platform, including core development, Skynet, third-party apps, non-technical Foundation initiatives, and more. Importantly, we are also designating the forum as the official venue for Foundation proposals. Some of you may know that this is not Sia's first forum. A few years ago, we closed the old forum due to low activity and a desire to consolidate our community. But with the advent of the Sia Foundation, we feel that our remaining venues -- Discord and reddit -- aren't ideal for the type of discussion that a Foundation warrants. In particular, we need a permanent place to house Foundation proposals, and reddit's ranking algorithm would quickly bury older proposals. Although this was our main impetus for launching a forum, we expect that it will be used for many other purposes as well, filling a niche where our other venues come up a bit short. The forum is brand-new, so things will likely be in flux for a while, but we encourage everyone to come check it out. In particular, if you're an app developer, the forum could be a great place to announce releases, answer questions, and share ideas. See you around!
