The technology pioneer who scaled the Internet is helping the Nexus Blockchain do the same. The combination of Nexus and LISP (Locator/ID Separation Protocol) not only advances blockchain technology at the Network Layer, but it will heavily impact our daily lives when it comes to the future of IoT and 5G. Scaling the core of the Internet is crucial so it can grow and support more devices and newer applications that are coming. “Today, people want performance, scale and accountability, and that’s exactly what LISP and the Nexus Hybrid Blockchain create together,” said Dino Farinacci, Cisco's first fellow and creator of LISP. With 68k lines of code written and the release of the Nexus Tritium testnet, March has been a busy month. Have a great weekend everyone. Here is our latest newsletter: nexusearth.com/news/nexus-newsletter-march-2019/
The Nexus dev team has been testing a new lattice-based cryptographic algorithm called Falcon, which is currently a second-round candidate of the coveted NIST competition. Falcon serves as a replacement for the ECDSA algorithm currently used by Nexus to generate public/private key pairs. This change will increase capacity for verifying pre-state transactions on any given node from 4k-5k per second up to 150k-200k per second, whilst maintaining post-quantum security. The algorithm is currently being trialled on our public testnet. bit.ly/NexusTestNet
Nexus Chief Architect Colin Cantrell gives the first public viewing of the much anticipated Tritium API. This first demo includes functions such as account management, creating and transferring assets, creating and managing tokens, and tokenizing assets. These are the building blocks for common use cases such as ICO's, STO's, dividend/revenue payments, decentralized voting, supply chain management, and DAO's. Watch the live demo at bit.ly/1stLiveTritiumAPIdemo All of the demonstrated code is available for testing in our github repo github.com/Nexusoft/LLL-TAO/tree/merging and the Nexus testnet is now public.
