#BetaMainnet In preparations to our Beta Mainnet launch, we are launching PlasMatic series to educate larger blockchain community about Plasma We have created a four-part series about Plasma and Matic’s own variation through its More Viable Plasma (MoreVP), an account-based implementation of the scalability model. Ethereum’s shortcomings came to the spotlight during the 2017 ICO bubble where high transaction volumes increased gas prices and caused excessive network congestion. It was made apparent that scalability was a key factor in stagnating mass adoption. Matic Network took it upon themselves to develop a framework towards an account-based plasma. Throughout this series, we will cover Ethereum, the development of Plasma, how Matic Network is leading scalability solutions, and more.
