Launch of the Dock Wallet App
Dock’s Wallet App gives the token holder full control over their DOCK tokens as the wallet enables them to control and manage their own private keys, allowing them to send and receive tokens without the involvement of any third party.

Hi everyone, It's been a while since our last update on FTX/Blockfolio. There has been a lot of developments at Dock since our last post, as you'll see from our blog and social channels. Moving forward I plan to be more diligent posting here to spread our updates more widely. Here's the update from the past week: * We have a new Dock mobile wallet launching in the next 2 weeks. The fixes from the indepdent security audit are almost complete. * We've started development of our wallet SDK enabling third parties to bring our wallet functionality directly into their own app. * This week we have also initiated the POC development on traceable credentials which will allow regulators in the ecosystem to identify malicious users. * #DAOHACK starts 22nd Nov, take part in #Dock's challenge and you could win a reward. More info on the hackathon at lnkd.in/dznM5kKY * We've released our updated roadmap featuring major milestones such as: anonymous credentials, self-serve issuer console, wallet SDK, and more. See details of the updated roadmap here: lnkd.in/d8YDGiz9 * We have created a credential server that is able to render pretty VCs issued through our API in browser and will support wallet importing in the future. * We have also published some API documentation updates, namely describing our postman flow/collection. That's it for this week!

We’re delighted to announce that the Dock mainnet has now successfully transitioned to Proof of Stake (PoS). This is a major milestone for the Dock community which can now play an active role in securing and running the Dock network. The transition to PoS further decentralizes the network by expanding the validator pool to 50 concurrent validators (there may be several hundred vying for top 50 spots) who are selected based on the amount of Dock tokens they have staked. This also marks a transition to more open governance with token holders being able to elect council members and vote on proposals. You read more about that here: blog.dock.io/docks-proof-of-stake-mainnet-is-live/

Hi everyone, Summary of things that we've been spending our time on this past week. One of our delivery priorities for this quarter is our transition to Proof of Stake. While no specific date is yet confirmed for release, we continue to make good progress and we're hopeful that we will commence with a PoS testnet in the coming weeks. We've also continued our work on developing our verifiable credentials API. We believe this will significantly reduce the time it takes issuers to integrate their apps with the network and ultimately grow adoption more quickly. You can read more about that here: blog.dock.io/dock-to-release-verifiable-credentials-api/?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=organic_social&utm_campaign=update Development has also been gathering speed on our wallet and wallet app. This application will enable the storage or DOCK tokens, as well as credentials and is being built in React so will be available on IOS and Android when complete. Final piece of news to leave you all with, we're excited to announce our partnership with credentialing specialist, Xertify. You can read more about that here: blog.dock.io/dock-partners-with-digital-credentialing-platform-xertify/?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=organic_social&utm_campaign=update

Hi Everyone, I wanted to provide the Dock community with a summary of what we have been working on this past week and what we have coming up. Delegatable credentials feature has been enhanced to enable private delegations. This now means that as one entity delegates authority to another to issue credentials on their behalf, the latest improvement enables these delegations to be posted publicly and searchable on the Dock chain. You can find out more about that here: blog.dock.io/public-delegation-feature-released/?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=organic_social&utm_campaign=update With our token migration now complete we were aware that our existing explorer didn’t have some of the features many of us have grown to expect and we were keen to address this issue as quickly as we could. We partnered with Subscan to create a new explorer for us and you can see the latest version here: dock.subscan.io/. Not only does it look great, but it also provides more in-depth statistics, details of the blocks, events, extrinsics, and transfers on the chain. Ongoing development work is focussed on 3 main areas: * Proof of Stake transition (launching later this quarter) * Continuing work on Dock wallet app * Ongoing development of new Dock API - we’ll be making an announcement about this to provide more detail in the coming days.

Hi everyone, It's been a busy few weeks at Dock, here are some of the news highlights: * The Dock token migration ends today. After almost 4 months of moving from Ethereum to our own mainnet, we're almost done. Binance also joined in on the Dock token swap (https://www.binance.com/en/support/announcement/c210ffa448f342f798b7fcf8408e6052) it'll be a relief to have everyone in the Dock community using the same token! * Last week we completed the EVM smart contract deployment feature, you can find out more about that here blog.dock.io/deploy-your-evm-smart-contracts-on-dock/ * We released a new SDK tutorial video on resolving DIDs: www.youtube.com/watch?v=OlfLG8OwkCM * We've also grown the team over the past couple of weeks adding Core developer, Maycon and Designer, Rey www.dock.io/about * And finally, we kicked off dev efforts for Dock App and Wallet. This wallet will not only store DOCK tokens, but it will also be a safe place to store all your verifiable credentials.

Hey Blockfolio, Dock is extending the token migration until midnight (GMT) on the 31st of March 2021. This extension is being offered to provide more time for those who haven’t completed the migration yet. For those who are migrating directly, you can continue to use the Dock migration portal (https://fe.dock.io/#/token-migration). Binance will also assist their users with the migration prior to the 31st of March and will confirm specific timings in due course. You can read the full announcement here: blog.dock.io/migration-extension-announcement/?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=organic_social&utm_campaign=update

Hey Everone, Today, Dock is releasing the remainder of our 2021 roadmap: blog.dock.io/docks-2021-roadmap/ For the rest of this quarter (end of March) the team will be focussed on completing the Ledger wallet integration our delegatable credentials feature and finalising the Chainlink integration: blog.dock.io/dock-integrating-chainlink-to-price-credential-services-in-usd/ In Q2 (Apr - Jun) we will transition Dock’s mainnet from PoA to Proof of Stake, enabling staking (of course :)) and providing further governance features for token holders. We will also start building our own token and credential wallet: docs.dock.io/learn/token-economics/econ-pos In Q3 (Jul - Aug) we will deliver a cross-platform app that serves as the mobile version of the Dock wallet. The app will allow users to store Dock tokens, send and receive tokens, as well as present verifiable credentials from their devices. We will continue to iterate and improve on the wallet in Q4.

Some new governance features being rolled out today on our mainnet. Any holders of the new Dock mainnet token, as well as the members of the Dock Association Council, can now propose changes to the network. Such changes could include; validator set changes or approving source code upgrades, etc. that were previously carried out by the Master account .i.e. centrally by Dock. Both token holders and Council members can propose changes and the Council members will vote. More details are available in our latest blog post: blog.dock.io/governance-features-added-to-dock-mainnet/ and in our docs, including how to make a proposal: docs.dock.io/learn/governance/gov-poa/poa-2/proposals
