In 2008, 10 years ago today, the Bitcoin White Paper was shared with the world by Satoshi Nakamoto. While not the first cryptocurrency proposal, it was the first to successfully create a system not subject to a central authority. It solved classical problems with a peer-to-peer network recording transactions on a public blockchain in a fully decentralized way. It led to the creation of Bitcoin and is also the foundation of the Bitcoin Gold Project. It paved the way for the birth and growth of the entire cryptocurrency space we see today, for which the world will forever be grateful.
