As the internal code audit conducted jointly by Interchain GmbH and Informal Systems has been finalized, #IBC is now ready-to-go for the upcoming ecosystem-wide Cosmos #Stargate upgrade. What comes next or when #IBC? Two-phase Stargate IBC rollout Phase 1 Once the Stargate upgrade has been completed on the Cosmos Hub, it will be possible for anyone to create IBC clients, connections & channels, but not yet possible to transfer tokens to and from the Hub. Phase 2 A second parameter change proposal must be passed by the Cosmos Hub's governance in order to activate cross-chain transfers and it will be up to governance to decide when they are ready. Once activated, IBC transfers are completely permissionless. See you on the other side of #IBC!
