We’ve been working on this latest version of Discussions for the last month or so and I want to give a special shoutout to @JohnLazarus, @jeninacrypto and @TaoOfSatoshi for all the lengthy feedback they’ve been providing us and all of our beta testers hunting down the beta bugs. This version of Discussions represents our commitment to our EOS partners to provide then the best possible platform for nurturing and growing their communities. And we’ve done so by providing easy login via popular wallets like Scatter and Anchor, along with a system which takes new Discussions users through the process of creating, connecting and finally using the many Dapp and services our EOS partners provides. But this version of Discussions also represents the beginning of our effort to go beyond the EOS, and EOSIO. While some projects can thrive on a single blockchain, Discussions was never meant to be a single chain project. We see the promises that blockchain holds and we reject the folly that a single chains can realize all the potentials that blockchain offers. In that end we’ve added Metamask Login, which would allow our Ethereum members to enjoy the same seamless login experience that our EOS members enjoy. You might argue that EOS does something much better than Ethereum, and we would agree, and we would love to have that argument on a platform that can fully demonstrates the best of both rather than the endless childish jabs that does no favor in pushing either project forward. We’ll be adding support for more blockchains in the future, and I look forward to the meaningful, engaged; passionate discussions we’ll have on the merit of each. It’s what we built Discussions to do. In the following week we’ll release our blogging update, which along with dark mode, is a feature we’ve intended to implement also from the beginning and I think I would be the best channel to demonstrate our unique delegated moderation system in earnest for encouraging meaningful conversation while maintaining the best balance between protecting speech and reasonable moderation.
